On the beach at Useless Bay, overlooking a rich wildlife sanctuary. An uninterrupted view...a restful seaside escape.
THE SUITE The Sandpiper Suite is steps from the sandy beach, which you are welcome to explore and enjoy during your stay.
The private entrance to the suite is through the perennial garden. The Suite includes a fully equipped kitchen, dining and living room areas, wood burning stove, master bedroom with a king-sized feather bed, second bedroom with a quenn-sized feather bed, and one full bath.
The views face west to capture sunsets and the Olympic Mountains. At seaside, Adirondack chairs await your visit as eagles soar above and the tide gently laps on the shore.
From community events (think shellfish festivals, art exhibits, the annual county fair, beach walks and bike tours) to the farmer's markets and shellfish festivals, throughout the year there is always a lot to do and see close by when staying at Home By The Sea on picturesque South Whidbey Island. For detailed info about what's happening now, visit our links page for some great resources.

THE BEACH Relax while watching the tides from your deck right on the beach. When the tide goes out you will be left with over a mile of sandy beach to explore. The exploring continues from your kayak when the tide returns, as it fills the back bay, a 40 acre bird sanctuary, with water. The Audubon Society designated this area as one of the Island's best places to birdwatch.
